Somatic Trauma Therapy is a very effective way of working with the physical and emotional distress that trauma can cause.

It works with the impact on the body of sudden or cumulative trauma, which can manifest through a range of physical and emotional symptoms, by bringing attention to the physical sensations of the body and using slow movements and verbal guidance to reduce levels of anxiety or fear.

It can be used by anyone working with individuals that display symptoms of trauma.

Course description

After your qualification in Somatic Trauma Therapy, this weekend will provide an opportunity to broaden your skills as a therapist by delving deeper and learning from your tutors' and other participants' experience in their practice. It is also an opportunity to get rid of some of our own angst on our way to becoming healthier, happier, calmer people.

• Supervision on individual cases.

Personalised way of learning

You will learn directly from our school director, Simonetta Logan a graduate of Babette Rothschild’s Somatic Trauma Therapy and an advanced graduate of Peter Levine’s Somatic Experiencing©. She has been working effectively with trauma for over thirty years.

Requirements

To have a qualification in Somatic Trauma Therapy with the School of Holistic Therapy.

Certification

A certificate of attendance is provided and the course is worth 16 CPD points

Fee: The weekend course fee is £200 and should be paid in full once your place has been confirmed. Payments are refundable until one month prior to the start of the course or in full if your place is taken by someone on the waiting list.
