This 2 day course will help you to start working effectively on the pelvis and spine. It will show you how to assess and treat each using a technique developed be Sheena Livingstone, which is extremely light yet highly effective in releasing dysfunctions in the pelvis and throughout the spine.

 

Course Overview:

 

Day 1:

 

·         Principles of muscle contraction

·         Pelvic assessment

·         Treatment of anterior and posterior innominates of the pelvis

·         Introduction to spinal assessment

 

Day 2:

 

·         Movement within a spinal segment

·         Identifying non-neutral lesions

·         Spinal assessment for the lumbar, thoracic and cervical spine

·         Correcting non-neutral extension and flexion lesions in the lumbar, thoracic and cervical spine

 

Students need to have completed the Diploma in Remedial and Sports Massage to attend this workshop. This workshop is mandatory for anyone wishing to enrol on the Diploma in Orthopaedic Massage and Manipulation Course starting in November 2025.
