This 2 day course will work on honing the practitioners’ skills to allow them to identify and release the precise muscle fibres causing vertebral segmental dysfunction with the absolute minimum of resistance. This is a magical technique which can resolve muscle tightness almost instantly, in any part of the body, with only a very small amount of effort on behalf of either the practitioner or the patient.


Course Overview:


Day 1:


  • Principles of muscle contraction

  • Muscle actions in varying planes

  • Placing muscles into tension

  • Identifying the plane of movement for the contraction of precise muscle fibres

  • Practice of technique for upper and lower limbs

  • Introduction to spinal assessment


Day 2:


  • Movement within a spinal segment

  • Identifying neutral and non-neutral lesions

  • Spinal assessment for the lumbar, thoracic and cervical spine

  • Correcting neutral and non-neutral lesions in the lumbar, thoracic and cervical spine


Students need to have completed the Diploma in Remedial and Sports Massage to attend this workshop. This workshop is mandatory for anyone wishing to enrol on the Diploma in Orthopaedic Massage and Manipulation Course starting in November 2022.
