This workshop will look at the biomechanics of the hip, knee and ankle. It will look at bone alignment, muscle firing order, muscle testing and many other tests for the lower limb. It will then teach you how to manipulate each of the 3 joints to correct anything found.

This workshop will include the following:

 

Muscle Tests for hip, knee and ankle

Special Tests for the hip, knee and ankle

Manipulations for the hip, knee, ankle and foot including:

• Lateral Femoral Head

• Posterior Superior Tibio-Fibular Adjustment

• Knee Meniscus

• Mid-Tarsal Adhesion

• Cuboid Adjustment (1)

• Cuboid Adjustment (2)

• Anterior Tibia on Talus

• Posterior Tibia on Talus

 

The workshop will also look at Gait Analysis

 

The workshop is aimed at therapists with good knowledge of anatomy and physiology, and is therefore limited to Advanced Remedial Massage and Manipulative Therapists. Students in Advanced Remedial Massage will also benefit.

 

This workshop is also part of the Diploma in Orthopaedic Massage and Manipulation and will be run alongside it.
